Hello,

Is it normal to see some bare spots in bottom of branches? I have checked for AEFW, nothing. Did a dip in Revive and killed a crab but that's it. No other marks on body. The bare spots are not even white. Does not appear to be bite marks.

As long as there is tissue it is normal but if the skeleton is exposed you have problems.

with out seeing picture, it sounds normal. The bottom of large colonies go smooth and white almost but the tissue is still there. Eventually when the colony gets really large you may get a touch of recession from the bottom.
