Mini carpet is buried

My new min carpet anemone that I got yesterday from live aquaria planted him self where I put him in the sand but part of him and his mouth is buried! Should I interfere and help him?

Anemones solve this sort of thing in the wild. You can generally do more harm trying to help or move a nem than by letting it be---unless it is headed for a powerhead. Then intervene.

I agree. It will take a little while to acclimate to your tank. Do not be surprised if it pulls itself under the sand as well. I had an lta do that before.

Ok thank you he unplanted his foot but didn't go anywhere yet

Ok and your lta buried itself completely?

Yes. I do not have it anymore but it would some times (usually at night) fully retract under a rock. I have never had a carpet but I believe anemones that attach to rock/sand interface have this ability for at least protection/survival purpose.
