Mini Yellow Cucumber

Filter Feeders

Filter Feeders

I've kept them before, the only problem I see is that you have such a small tank, it will be hard to keep them fed and you water quality good. They have neat little "branches" they extend to grab food. Split like crazy when you feed them well. Started with two and ended with six when I took the tank down and gave them away.

I have had one in a 29G Biocube for some months. It comes and goes from view - partly because I have a little too much rock. I had to fish it out of the overflow once. I thought it was dead, and then discovered that it would move.

All I can say is that it survives. I feed with Reef Nutrition foods and occasional Marine snow.

All of the standard cucumber rules apply as far as I know. That is they can make a mess of a tank if attacked.

I had one in a 10 gallon tank with a 3" sand bed for about two years. Hadn't seen it for awhile but when I moved the inhabitants to a bigger tank, there he was. I never target fed him but my sand bed was pretty deep so there was probably plenty of food there.
