Minimum tank size for 2 banded pipes?

Hi, I'm planning a tank for jawfish and I'm trying to find interesting tank mates. Could anybody list an appropriate tank size for these pipefish?

i have two banded pipefish in a 12 gallon nano and they seem happy.

How big are they?

almost 4 inches.

alot of that is determined by how much live food is available to them. if you have a lot of pods in a 20g tank, it may work out. although it seems that the pipes would kill off that pod population fairly quickly. if you had pipes that would eat non-live foods, you theoretically could keep a pair in a 10g tank. it is going to be relative to how much and and/or what type of food they eat.

Thanks. I was thinking about a 37gallon with a 'fuge. so i guess it will be okay especially if they eat non live food.

The more horizontal swimming room the better IMO - I've got a 48 gallon and they swim the entire length of the tank.
