Minutes of 1/19/07 NMOK Meeting
The "How to Make Live Rock" presentation has been postponed due to a family emergency. Best wishes from NMOK for a quick recovery!
Alex, asfullax on RC, is considering an order of some of the basic additives needed for proper reef chemistry. The chemicals he is ordering would take some time and effort to prepare them for safe reef use, but do offer a considerable savings over prepackaged additives. Alex will probably do a small order for himself, but can ship larger quantities if needed. If enough people were interested he coud probably be talked into doing a presentation on correctly using the additives.
Everyone was asked
1) What reef related information would you like the club to provide to you? Ex. Presentations, General Discussions, Handouts, etc...
2) What topics would you be willing to speak about or prepare a handout for?
Chemistry came up as a suggestion, and the club is open to others!
Membership cards were handed out to all current NKOK members, and we had several new members join.
The nano build off was voted on and is a go.... for sometime mid spring/summerish. Because the Live Rock presentation was cancelled the build off start date will be after the next meeting/presentation or until after a small workshop for those interested in the build off is held. Please see the build off thread if you would like to make a suggestion.
