I seen a fw tank that had a mirror on the back of there tank, looking in at the fish was cool, it looked like the tank went on for ever. how would it be on my saltwater tank? to much reflection?

I would think that it depends on the sort of fish you keep. It wouldn't be a good idea if you have aggressive fish, I would think (think of putting a mirror up to a betta tank).

I, personally, think it would look kind of cool. But it's all about personal preference. I don't think reflection should be a problem. If anything I think it would be beneficial and help spread the light out on the bottom . Just my opinion :)

I dont have any aggressive fish, 2 tangs,2shrimps,flameangel, bta,& a sleeper. I just thought the lights would be to much on it.

I'm sorry for getting off track, but are the tangs in your 55g. I might think about finding them a new home before long :)

thanks billy, It realy did look good. I would like to do it. but then u c two pumps 2heaters to all that.

Im glad you brought that up, im trying to get help on that matter, I bought the whole tank from a guy in the papper, with all that in it. except the shouldertang, I just bought him & just finding out how big he will get

The flame angelfish and tangs are both aggressive towards conspecifics, but I don't know whether they'd have a problem with a mirror. I wouldn't try it, but it might work.
