well first of all is it ok to feed sushi wrap to the tangs? (ingrediants are .... Seaweed and seaweed..LOL)
I have a yellow and a regal both about 3 inches.

also how much should I put in and how long to leave it?
they seem to tear into it pretty good so???
is it like regular food ? What they can eat in 5 min? or leave it all day to "graze" upon?

next question is

I want to get an new pump....

I have a 75 gallon AGA with the drilled overflow and return
I am using a scqwd so I am not using the return right now. I have it just plugged off.

I am looking at a mag drive 9.5 ( I have 4 ft of head and other then that no elbows or anything.) my thought is to get more flow thru my refugium so I was thinking of going up from the pump with a T and letting some of the water flow back to the begining of the ref. after maxing out the overflow....??

Also I could make the 3/4 inch bulkhead into another overlow to the fug if you think that is a good Idea or not?

thanks for the help and any advice

Yes the Seaweed you get from a sushi store is fine as long as there is no added ingridients. I get my seasweed from an asian market for my yellow tang and hippo. I usually feed them a sheet that is 5" in length and 3 " wide. I fold it over three times so it fits in the clip and stays in the feeding clip better. I then put a few drops of garlic extreme on it.

I am not using my return out of my overflow box as well as I do not like the setup so I drill my tank in the top center and used locline on a "Y". You don't want to much flow through your refugium. I personally like a high turnover rate in my tank but I am running a sump. The SCQWD reduces alot of head pressure from your pump so even if you run a Mag 9.5 through it. At 4 feet the Mag will be putting out 800GPH, and then the SCQWD, I would say around 700 GPH giving you a 9.3 turnover and hour, some food for thought.
