I really enjoyed our last meeting. There are not many places you can go and talk about your wonderful hobby. The meetings are a great opportunity to share information and conversation with people that really understand why we put so much time in to our beloved tanks. Thanks to everyone for coming. A big THANK YOU to all the people who donated their time into preparing demos, taking pictures, and organizing the meeting. Thank you for the donated food and drinks. We had some really nice prizes donated to the club. A big THANK YOU to Figi's, Jo-Mar's, and Bert's. All these contributions really make the meetings successful!
Mary, Can you possibly get pictures of the winners of our photo contest? It would be great advertising to see the winners holding their prize for winning the contest!
Also, we spoke about getting an eisle to display pictures and notices at our meetings. You said you had one but it needed new backing??? Is there anything we can help you with to get it ready to display for the next meeting?
It would be great to have the photo's of the month on display when people entered the meetings. When the discusion part of the meeting starts we can move the eisel into that room. Present the winners with their prize and get their pictures!
If by chance someone else has an eisel we could put it to good use also.
Please check around your second hand stores and see if we can pick up another EISEL at a reasonable price. I'll be looking in my area. We are always short on SMALL TABLES to set up food, prizes and other displays. If you run across a couple of used tables for a descent price please pick them up. And lastly, can someone donate a LARGE TRASH CAN for our meetings. We can leave them at Cook's so not to drag back and forth from each meeting.EISEL SMALL TABLES LARGE TRASH CAN
Did I miss anything?!!! Anything else we need to improve meeting? Any ideas on something to be added to the meeting? I really would like to see some of the gadgets people have purchased to work in their tanks. There is so many items for sale to help maintain, clean or whatever they are supposed to do. I would like to know which ones work and other's that don't. I had been wanting the "extendable target feeder" but wasn't sure it would work for me! If I would have seen one in person I definitely would have purchased it a long time ago. It is such a great tool!
