I missed the shipment for my carpet anemone today.. i had no idea that they were going to need a signature... I called and they said that the truck should be arriving back at the fedex facility (which is minutes away) at 4:30... will it still be alright?

Acclimate very slow. If the water is real brown and yucky, you may need to take some out and replace with good.
You should be able to tell in the bag whether it is alive or not.

okay well it was upside down in the bag.. now i have it upright acclimating in the styro foam box... the water doesnt look very brown.. and how should i be able to tell if its dead or alive in the bag?

If it is falling apart or it smells dead then its dead. If it is in one piece, even if it is turned inside out. It still has a chance.

ok it looks fine then... thanks for the help.. Should i let it acclimate more slowly and longer? What would you recommend?

Take it out of the bag and put it in a bucket or the styrofoam box. Begin to slowly drip water from your tank into the bucket/box. When the amount of water doubles or triples in about an hour, scoop the water out down to its original level and keep the drip going until the water in the bucket doubles again. At that point you can put him in your tank.
The water in the bucket should be thrown out, not put back in your tank.
If you don't have some fresh salt water, you need to make some or buy some to make up for the water you loose during acclimation.

Yes i know how to drip acclimate i was just wondering if you think i should drop it a little longer than usual...

Also, would it be safer to acclimate it to my qt, and put it in there... then if things are alright just acclimate it to my show tank? Or is the carpet just fine... because to me it loos normal... water was clear, he wasnt cut up/tearing or anything...

I'll take a picture actually...

The little things next to it is just some rubble
