Missing Conch

I got a silver conch couple of days ago and for the first two days it stayed semi-buried in the sand....then two days ago it completely vanished....do they stay under the sand all the time? my other snails come out at night but i can't locate this conch....

They can sometimes disappear for weeks, I wouldn't be too alarmed

Mine disappear for a month at a stretch sometimes. I bet it'll turn up.
