missing dead urchin

My blue tuxedo urchin has gone missing for 48 hours!

Have had the urchin for months - really loved the Coraline could always see the paths it left over the rock. Occasionally would feed a small piece of nori but the urchin seemed fine until it disappeared.

All other fish, snails, hermits seem fine (though the fish are acting less hungry then normal at feeding time and the algae has picked up but I am overdue for a water change)

What happens when they die?
I would think I could find the body before the cuc made it disappear (I have 5 hermits and a skunk cleaner shrimp). I can see around most of the rock work and cant find the urchin or any remains anywhere.

they have quiet a hard shell id say it would be left on your sandbed at least not dissapear completely

How sure are u its gone. I don't think even if it died it would be consumed with in 48 hours

False alarm - It was back this morning!
It must have found a really good hiding place/interesting hat that blended with the rocks.

good to know my guess that it should have left a body if dead was correct!

I swear I checked everywhere - now I need to see what hidey hole he goes to that i missed seeing him for 48 hours.
