Missing Pistol

hi, i recently bought a pistol shrimp and i have not seen him for 2 days. I even stayed up to see if i can see him but no luck there. I know where his burrow was when i first got him but i dont know if he's in there because i saw a crab go in there and i didnt hear any clicking. i have this bad thought that he may be crushed or something. any suggestions?

It could have burrowed elsewhere, especially under a rock.

Mine starting making a burrow as soon as I added it to the tank against the front glass panel. A few days later it was nowhere to be found, and afterwards I never saw it.

A while later after the lights had been off, I saw it crawling near a rock.

I agree with nihonjin_anemone, it could just be hiding out for now. Perhaps getting ready for a molt too.
