I have a pair of clowns, 8 weeks no problems... Since yesterday one of them is up by the overflow with tail in trying to swim out, so I thought I'd moved it which I did a few times and just keeps going back. Now he's swimming around though the back of his tail is missing like it was sucked off. Why would he do this? and will it grow back?

When I first got my clowns, something similar happened to me. Everything was fine for about 3 weeks, and then out of nowhere the smaller clown's tail looked like it had been bitten off.
I knew I didn't have any fish/inverts which could have done this, so I suspected a fungus or some other infection so I put the clown into QT and treated with both E.M. Erythromycin and General Cure.
After about a week and a half the tail was growing back very nicely, and I was able to re-introduce into the main display :lol2:.
