mites??

hi all today i was looking at my zoo's and i seen what looks like mites like the kind you would find on a reptile only smaller how do i kill em? and is my whole tank infested now to where i need to tear it all down and sanitize it all ? i have a 5gallon hex with a mantis in it my zoo's been closed up for a few days now so i assume its from those black mite looking things i seen today

A pic would be nice but it sounds like maybe flatworms? Do they move fast or just hang out?

they looked the same way mites would look like on a snake or lizard only smaller only reason i seen them was cause i used magnifiying loop which i normally use for checking coins out with

They sound like copapods which are a sign that you have a healthy tank. They are a very good thing to have you don't want to get rid of them. Copapods look like small greyish color mites. Go to wetwebmedia.com to learn more or to identify what you do have in there.
