Mitras and SPS

I broke down that tank and just started my new tank a month ago. I just found my old project yesterday and decided to use it instead the bluer spectrum. I'll upload it if you're interested. Check out my old tank to see the result of this old project.

please do upload :)

I went with a whiter look now, but I may add an hour and a half at start and end of the 6 hours of white to give me a nicer ramp up...I've also set the acclimation to slowly ramp up to the 100% by the end of June...

Be careful with the whiter spectrum, don't crank it up too high or your corals get bleached. Look at the the overall graph, if it's in between 60-70% then adjust the output in HE mode to about 50-55% and go from there by observing how your corals respond.

Is the GHL app for iPhone not working or no longer supported? Getting my profilux up and I was hoping to connect today only to get a blank blue screen...

Thanks

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you for starting this thread and to the contributors. I too was about to give up on my mitras and go back to T5 because I just could not find the correct spectrum. Giving dattong "whiter spectrum" a shot. I liked it better than the first one that dattong posted, and it looks a lot better than the one I was using.

Lemec, in the picture you posted, which one did you end up using?

Keep an eye on your intensity setting. The light intensity in my project is pretty strong and for led acclimated sps only. I would go from 40% in HE and see how corals respond and adjust the intensity accordingly. You'd see PE is better with my whiter spectrum program. If you experience algea growth problem, reduce the light period.

I'm slowly ramping up to 95%....is that too intense with these lights? I'll try and post my graph tomorrow.

Well here is my program...I'm still ramping up to that peak but it will get there by the beginning of July...

So I moved my zoa Rock over to another part of the tank, exposing a rock covered in coraline algae... I noticed that it bleached out within a weeks time, so I dropped the output of my lights down to 70%....guess we will see what that does for coral coloration....

Well, since dropping to 70% power my JF Fruity Pebbles monti has started to get purple tips and green is slowly filling in on the coral, my setosa and red dragon are also getting darker in color....think I may have found my balance.
