I'm downgrading my 135g to a 36x24x24 90g tank and debating if one Mitras would be enough for my future tank.

Jim are you looking to stock your tank Wall to Wall and Front to Back solid SPS?
The Mitras has phenomenal coverage especially for it's small form factor so yes it CAN cover and you can have SPS in most of the tank but if you'll look at this thread

No I have a mixed reef. I have a big monticap and some other SPS like birdnest's but it's mostly LPS and some softies.

In regards to spread width and depth is no issue, the length is stated as 32" on the bottom, but if you look at this it will give you a better idea if you feel one will suite your needs
10cm = 4"
Take into account also the lamp is mounted front to back so the spread will be less. If you mount it lengthways as you would with your tank it will obviously be more
