Mitras power cord

Hey guys. Quick question.
While doing my tank move I accidentally cut in 2 the power cord that goes to the Mitras lamp.
Can I splice the cord? Or do I need to replace the entire cord?

Can you not connect what's left to the lamp mate, or is it too short

I just don't know how to open the light!!!

Unscrew the two end panels.

I did that but the cable goes into the Mitras not sure how to get to it....can someone help

just splice it back together. its just a 2 wire dc feed form the power supply
