Mixed Anthias Group.

I would like to get a mixture of a couple different anthias.

I have a 135 Gallon Reef. Looking for experiences mixing multiple species.

Possibilities.
Barlett
Huchtii's
Lyretails
Carberryi

I have bartletts, lyretails, and one carberryi. Also have dispar. All get along fine, except the poor lonely male carberryi tries to "adopt" the female bartletts, so he sometimes gets into it with the male bartlett.

Looking for some advice. Wrote to Wetwebmedia and Bob Fenner suggested that I get some fast moving fish into my display tank and he suggested yhe Anthias group.

After reading a bunch of articles, I'm kind of scared to buy them since they seem to be on the "fragile" side plus they require multiple feedings daily, lots of aggression between male and female and between females etc....

A group of 5-7 would make a gorgeous display in my tank since they are super colorful and they swim in the mid column and that's what I need but I'm still hesitant.

Can you tell me your experience with them? How hardy are they? How well do they do in QT? Do they really need 3 feedings a day? I travel a lot in the summer so I just don't know. Are they picky eaters? How well they do with treatments if they get sick?

Thanks.

Probably out of respect to the OP, you should post your own thread. You might get more answers that way.

But from what I've seen said from more experienced keepers, there are certain species that are considered "hardier" anthias. Lyretails, dispars, bartlett's, and maybe a couple others. Definitely QT these fish, and yes they require multiple feedings per day. IMO you could get away with a couple autofeeders, depending on how many fish.

Just my .02

Sorry, I didn't mean any disrespect, just thought since Anthias was the topic...

Thanks for your 2 cents, I appreciate it!

Again, I'm sorry!!
