I want mixed corals and a few fish. My canopy might be low if I stick with LeeMar.

I toyed with the idea of cutting out the top in 3 areas and adding MHs? But I'm wondering if I should just go LED..
I have read a lot of posts and a lot of debates on which lights are best for what corals. But is there a better choice when room is limited? I live in Las Vegas, it gets like 114 degrees here.. so heat from the MH is also a major concern for me.
