mixing 120 and 90 degree optics ???

I took the 90 degree optics off of my photon 48 i really like the color blending alot better on 120 degree it gives a t5ish look but it does " Fuzz " the detail of the coral a bit.. is anyone mixing the optics to get a nice spread and blend of colors but still get decent penetration ? I would really like to see what works

Many vendors use 120 optics on red and greens to get better blending, while running 90s on everything else. Check out the Reef Radiance layout: http://www.reefradiance.com/starfire.html

I wonder if putting 90 degree only on whites ? I think the blue is not a natural tint I dont know just looks off ..but with 120 degree they mix really nice .. I might try that
