Mixing clowns and aggression

Hmm I am planinng on getting one false perc and a maroon for a 45g. Tank measures 23x18x16. will I have any problems?

well if the maroon is very large and the ocellaris very small you may have a chance of forming a pair. that is your best bet also does anybody know where the Pairing maroons thread is?

I think they might fight. If they don't however, don't expect them to host together. I once tried it with a clarkii and a pair of percs. They didn't fight but the clarkii chased the percs away from their anemone and eventually evicted them.

There are documented Maroon x Ocellaris captive crossbreeds (including viable offspring)...so...it could work just fine.

hmm, so your telling me that its possible to get a pair by combining these two different clowns? Im probaly going to just get small clowns no more than 1-1.5 inches. but in any case it doesnt work out which should I go for? Maroon or Ocellaris?

i have true percs in a tank with clarkii's and i woke up this morning to find my smaller perc (who was sick) MIA.... be careful

IMO the chances of that happening are somewhere between slim and none ... odds are good that the maroon is going to kill the other clown.
