Mixing clowns?

Can you mix different spec. of clowns? Ie: a false with a true, or false and onyx?

I had 2 pairs in a 72g tank, percs and ocellaris, until recently my ocellaris died of brook. They got along fine.

Yeah, you can mix em... false and true percs really can't tell the difference between each other. My brother has a true perc and the 2 b/w os all in the same tank. No problems other than the NORMAL clownfish throwdown. But, thats going to happen with clowns no matter what.

You can mix ocell. and percula but you might have a problem mixing other clown species such as tomato or maroon.

I lost one of my false perchs, and ordered a black and white false perch that will arrive Thursday.

I'm along for the ride on this one if you dont mind. Just got a GS Maroon(3" approx) in a tank buyout. Added to a 55g with a small occelaris(1" approx). Everything is good so far.

combining clowns can be tricky. Even if they are the same species. I hope they are both very young or different sizes.

Yeah I had a perc and a maroon in the same tank overnight because I had to break down a tank. In the morning the maroon had already killed my perc. Be careful
