Mixing leathers

Over the last little while I've picked up a few new leathers, and now there are several living in my 90g. Some are large, others are just frags, but they all seem to be getting along so far. I find it tough to ID leathers, especially when they're teeny frags, but to the best of my knowledge I have:
- Lemnalia
- Sinularia (S. dura and S. flexibilis)
- Capnella
- Nephthea (not certain, this guy is only about 1" long)

I know leathers can wage chemical warfare, but most of what I read seems to centre on possible issues with stony corals, not other leathers. I do have a fox coral that I may need to move as it's not thriving, but I think that's a lighting/flow issue (too much of both) more than anything else -- its 'failure to thrive' began before this leather obsession took hold.

I'm running carbon, but I don't like to use it continuously. I do a 15% water change weekly (sometimes 20%), and there's a kalk drip on the tank to maintain Ca and alk levels. Anything special I should watch out for? I'm still on the lookout for interesting leathers, it's very likely I'll add more (very likely Sarcophyton elegans, possibly others) in the next little while - does this sound okay to you guys?

Yeah it should be fine. I just run carbon all the time in my 24G leather dominated nano and have not had any problems in the year and a half its been set up...and they are just crammed in there! Lots of growth though.

Your doing everything right though I think.

Blinky,
If I understand correctly, softies are just as happy to engage in allelopathy with other softies, but they have evolved to be more resistant to it.

Also keep in mind that corals will modify whatever chemicals they put out in order to best attack whatever's around them. So theoretically, a coral that's doing fine may eventually start to go downhill, as the corals around it change their chemicals in order to compete with it.

*Theoretically*....hasn't been a problem in my case, at least not that I've noticed.
