Mixing shrimp

In my 75 gallon tank I currently have a Cleaner shrimp. Is it possible to add other types of shrimp since he is already in there? Specifically a peppermint shrimp and another cleaner shrimp down the road? I've heard mixed theories about this and was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.

It won't be a problem. The two cleaner shrimp will hook up and make babies and the peppermint and cleaners will ignore each other.

Avoid the boxer shrimp aka coral banded shrimp.

I have two cleaners a blood and a peppermint. No problems, they all have their own territory. I once had a coral banded and took him back to the LFS after he made breakfast out of a bangaii cardinal one day.

My 2 pepermints killed my cleaner shrimp....

I'd be willing to bet ;) that the peppermint were cleaning up an already dead cleaner shrimp. I have successfully mixed camel back, cleaner, peppermint and not had a problem. I have not heard of peppermints attacking a cleaner or vice versa - both are basically cleaner type shrimp!

I have a cleaner and a pep in my tank, never see the pep but i know he's in there somewhere....they don't fight as far as i know.

i agree on the coral banded, i've had tons of luck mixing shrimp, with the exception of the coral banded shrimp, he killed my peppermint shrimp and is now in my refugium.
I also have a coral banded in my nano with some damsels and haven't had any problems.

lol, yeah, i was at petco and they have a tag for the camel shrimp they sell and it says "great addition to a reef tank," then it is crossed out with a marker.
