Mixing station Questions

I see a lot of mixing stations on here and it looks like the ones that use the 55 gallon food grade drums (like what I have) use bulkheads and not uniseals for plumbing around the curved sides of the drums. How do they keep them from leaking? I thought I should use a uniseal for this kind of plumbing but if there is a way to use a threaded bulkhead I would rather do that.

I used uniseals. Cheaper, leak proof (if done right), and readily available

Just use a uniseal, I tried using bulkheads on some curved stuff and it just didnt work, no matter how much i tried to seal it. It will save you time, money and frustration

i used bulkheads on my 100 gallon tanks with no problems. you could always heat the surface a little with a heat gun and tighten the bulkhead while the plastic is still hot.

While we are on the topic... What pumps do you use for your mixing stations? Mine will have 2 55 gallon drums and I want to have enough power to pump SW across the room (21ft over 5.5ft up) to my display tank.

Slop sink between the laundry and the blue barrels? I'm thinking yes.
