Mixing Wild and Tank Bred Clown

Hello!

I have a BTA and a Black tank bred clown. We would like to add another clown as the current one does not know what an anemone is!

Before I even begin my search, is it ok to mix a tank bred clown with a wild clown?

It's fine to mix wild and tank raised clowns together. Also note that just because a clown is tank raised doesn't mean it doesn't know what an anemone is. Think of it like cats and catnip. Some cats are attracted to it, and others are not.

Natural hosts for a BTA include maroon, clarkii, bicintus, frenatus, etc. but not the "Nemo" type clowns like percula and ocellaris. That said, many percula and ocellaris -- both wild and tank raised -- have BTAs as hosts.

Ive had Occelaris and Perculas both wild and tank raised together. I have also had them host bubble tip anemones, however, sometimes I have had an issue with the tank raised clowns not wanting to go to the bbta's, but this was usually cured when another clown would "show them the way".
