MJ Mod Prop Attachment?

I have trouble with keeping the prop attached to the shaft. I'm running the carbon fiber shaft w/ the nylon prop. What's the best glue to use to stop this?

Thats what I used but it just doesnt stay there. Does the gel work better than the liquid?

YES! and let it dry overnight or at least a few hours.

I used the liquid and then gave 2 days to dry. I thought that it had stuck pretty good. It was working fine through the test and started in the wrong direction, hit the stop and came loose.

The way I read the post it sounds like your trying to attach directly to the carbon fiber shaft? If so this is not correct, attach the prop to the clear hollow rod that the carbon fiber rod slides through.

Did you notch the prop like the MJmods site direction show? That really helps hold it in place.

Yes I did cut the notches. It came with the clear shaft and the carbon shaft and I went with the carbon.

I think I will cut new notches and scuff the shaft and try it again.

I don't use glue, here are 2 ways I do mine. The lower one, I cut small piece of air tubing, slip it over the top of the shaft to hold the prop in place and keep it from popping out.

I use gap filling super glue from hobby stores and buy the accelerant spray which makes it dry instantly.

Yes! The "tapered" end goes towards the motor. See the pic above.

fwiw baking soda placed over the sglue cures it instantly. No waiting 2 hours with this.

I use Marine Goop as an adhesive and so far so problems with the prop coming unglued.
