I was at my nsLFS and was talking to the owner about lighting. Right now over my 75 I have two crappy 250 watt fishneedit HQI pendants, and I definitely want to upgrade soon. Well, he told me that when he used HQI bulbs in his tanks the only good growth he saw was right under the bulbs, and that sps corals seemed to brown out in a few weeks no matter whar bulbs were used. (400wt btw) He said that only after switching to mogul lighting that all the corals in the surrounding area received great growth and started to color up much more. He recommended that if I'm in the market for new lights I should go for mogul. Well, I really want an all in one sort of light fixture with T5 actinics and leds. Are there any metal halide all in one mogul fixtures out there worth my money? I tried searching but I couldn't find any.
