Mojano

Bizzleb01 - They come in various shapes and sizes. If you post a picture we might be able to I.D. it for you. Also do a google image search for "majano" and compare.

Danikowa - They were actually selling majanos?

i bought what i thought was a bta and after it split at a such a small size (50 cent piece) i started looking it up and now believe it is a majano any how i have a pic in my gallery so check it out and let me know what you think

Yeah, I've searched them and I'm pretty sure it is one, but I haven't seen one with the pink tips.

You're right danikowa, it is actually kind of pretty. I'm going to have to get it out before it starts splitting. Good thing is it's on a small frag plug.

Can you move it to your refugium if you are running one? I wonder if any reefers local to you would want it if it is pretty.

Please share some pictures of it.

I'll try to get some up in the next day or so. I;m not running a fuge, just a 20g sump. It hasn't split at all either.

pics would def. help, i have a majano that pops out of one of my rocks at night, but i like it, it looks pretty cool lol

My LFS was selling them and doing a good business doing it. I went in one day and told him he had a Majano outbreak in his tanks and told him they were a nuisance in that they will multiply and take over. That's when he told me he had been selling them for $20. Now mind you these were the pretty majano's with the green tips.

Here's a pic (don't mind the flatworms)

I have seen them sold as Strawberry tip anenomes for 20. all over the mideast. I have about 10 of them but I am going to a all Anenome tank I have all sorts of different colored majanos also their is a difference between them they dont seem to sting other corals like majanos.

It's on a frag plug. I wonder how big it'll get and if it could spread in my tank if i leave the plug in the middle of my sand bed.
