So, I had this drum half full of live rock that has been sitting in the garage, with salt water, a heater and a pump and they have been cooking in the dark for some time now. Well, this "Brute" trashcan developed a leak months ago and drained out. I discovered this when I heard the pump chugging.
The water appeared to be all drained out, so I just left it figuring the rocks would dry out. I went to move them to another container yesterday, and found Mold had grown on some of them because there was still an inch of water at the bottom.
Any thoughts on cleaning these? First thought is the water blaster, put them in the driveway and have at them. But then what?
