Mollies

110% sure that just about any molly (mix breed) can be converted if not then some one needs to tell mine they cant be converted,

and i am 99.99% sure the 'pure breed" and the special trait breed ones can be as well,

I think all of the mollies can be, they're pretty adaptable. I have a molly in my reef tank, he's a black sailfin. Great algae eater :).

I had em years ago(80's) in my 55 salt. They bred like rats. It was an "UNDERGRAVEL" with crushed coral and was filled with calerpara and tangs. The babies would have a few grow into adults and I never added more than the originals. They were my protien skimmer of the time. They would keep drinking the skum off the surface. And would clean algae off the glass.

yes I use to have a pair of orange Sailfin mollies in my FOWLR a while back. I barely acclimated them, but I don't suggest throwing em in. I think I just got lucky.

I put them in originally to check if the tank had recovered from a crash. Well, they became one of my favorite inhabitants.

I did it. Just took a 24 hrs

I have a female black molly and a male balloon molly in my 44 gallon pentagon tank. I'm looking for the babies to be food for my small lionfish. As others have said, they are also good algae eaters.
