Molten Shrimp

Hi All! I am a newbie. Is Molten Shrimp a good sign? I check my water every two days and my number are in range, but i came home yesterday and saw that my shrimp molted. Let me know:eek1:

Generally it is a good thing when they molt in the aquarium. While it is generally a good thing, it can also be induced by stress as often seen when a shrimp is shipped. If you are testing the water regularly and it doesn't have anything that would cause stress it is most likely simply growing.

I heard in good condition a cleaner shrimp molts once a month?

If you have molten shrimp, your heater is set too high.

Molting shrimp, on the other hand, means that your shrimp is growing. That is a good thing.

How long have you had the shrimp? If it's been more than a month or two and it most every month that means your water is good with calcium
