Monit cap pealing

I have a monti Cap, hard coral and it has been doing well for a long time. All my water perameters are good. Over the past few days its skin has been pealing off and leaving it's white skelition behind. Is this normal or is this coral diying? Thanks..

It is not normal, if you are sure all your water parameters are OK then look carefully for parasites, flat worms and nudibranches are the most common and damaging. Use a magnifying glass and plenty of ligh, flats can be transparent and very difficult to see. Nudis are white and can be seen aroudn the edges of the white spot usually underside as they do not like strong lighting.

if I have these how do i get rid of them? it is a strage every other coral seams to be doing fine. I have been feeding with phyto plankton if that can affect any thing?

Neither of them are easy to get rid off. The usual way is to use a stong water stream to blow them off and doing it every three or four days in a Q tank until no more show up. It might take a couple of months. Fragging healthy areas is an options. Water or slutions dips are not very helpful, at least not for the nudis.

Nothing survived except for some zoo's on the back of the cap, i think i may just avoid Sps for a while.
Cheers.
