Mono Argentus

I asked this same question two weeks ago. The replies were that none were kept in reefs, they were extremely active, semi aggressive, and messy eaters, not to be kept in a small tank (smaller than 120 gallons).

I saw a school of them in a 1200 gallon reef in a hotel lobby. They were shoaling at the top of the tank, and seemed to mind their own business. They were fairly large at about 5-6 inches long. There were no small fish in the tank though, so I don't know how they would act around more peaceful reef fish.

I ran a search for Mono to ask about this too. Hope I find some more info as I continue to look around.

I Keep a Brackish tanks as well as a Reef. I picked up a young Mono a few months ago and it has been doing great in my Brackish tank. I am looking to begin the change toward Marine conditions for this fish as it ages. From what I gather the young tend to hang out in Brackish water and move out toward the reef flats as they mature. I presently have mine at 25% marine conditions and was looking for people with actual experience with the rate of acclimation toward full marine for this species.

How do you tell it is old enough to begin the change? Should I take a couple of months or a year or what?
