Monterey Bay Aquarium Water

Has anyone used water from the aquarium? I know in socal people used water from scripps, ucla etc.

Yes, I know a guy who uses hundred of gallons of it with no problem. As long as it is pre filtered you should be ok. If you are iffy about it, get a gallon and test it with a fresh kit.

I personally make my own water.

Unless you know someone tha works there, they wont give it to you. When I worked there, I got a lot of it, they have raw and filtered seawater.

Although I do not work there, my place of employment has a relationship with them.

If you do get water from there, make sure it is filtered. Last thing you want are some baby jellys or hydroids running around in a reef tank. Major benefit is the phyto, but you can add that.
