montipora care?

i was wondering if its hard to take care of montiporas? whats the minimum lighting it will need?

MH+Calcium+flow.

I just do water changes have up midway on the aquascaping because they shade the tank. I dose Kent Marine Liquid Reactor Calcium every day. Mine went from a light pink to a blood red.

I try and keep it between the desired range of 380-430 with some wack test kti I have. I may be though. But youll know if you are.

I have 4 caps all doing great under pc's. They are about 2/3 up the tank, and other stuff below is starting to get shaded as mentioned.

Other than light and flow, I clear them off with a turkey baster every other day or so (snails seem to get stranded on my caps). Oh, and I dose b-ionic.

That is a very cool before and after, REALLY!! I will say this about Monti's when all else dies they just keep growing, the best way I thought to describe them is there like a toe nail, always clipping.

they grow under pc's. You may need to place them high though. Care for these ranges too. The caps are pretty forgiving. Some of the encrusting types are a little tricky. Just watch them when you place them in your tank. they will let you know if they are happy or not.
