Montipora Digi Feeder Tentacles or?

Hi all

Picked up this frag from Top Shelf Aquatics last week. Dipped it in red sea DipX followed by a dip in Lugel's solution

Finally got around to testing my water and my alk/calcium/mag are unbalanced. (8.4 dKH, 600, 1255). Going to do a water change but fed the tank before and the Monti looks like this.

Are these white small "tentacles" a feeding response or is it irritated by my water chemistry? (The fungia in the right corner of the pic is not enjoying the water)
