Montipora stn???

I got this monti cap for free a month ago at my lfs.. it was my first sps.. and only still. Until i master it. Lol

my tank wasnt really ready, nor was i knowledgable enough at the time.. but it was free..

its been thru some stuff for sure... when i first got it.. i had no ato, so big swings as i was adding about 1 1/2gal every two days for evap... also didnt have a skimmer....

i do have an ato and skimmer now, also started dosing alk(9) and calcium(420).

I also didnt glue it down at first and just stuck it in a crevice.. its glued solid now...

Besides this, my tank is pretty solid.. been up 6 months, flow and lighting are all decent... i test regularly..

so after all that its starting to get more color and the leading edge is lighter, so i think growth??? I think i can see little tiny polyps maybe??

I checked for montipora eating nudis, but dont think i have any... i dont see eggs or the actually nudis.. ive checked at night also... and i have zoanthids that i was told would be affected if i had the nudis, which havent been yet... in over a month..

Anyways i think it has stn??? Should i leave it and hope for best or remove rock and dry+glue?? Ive read some, but dont feel comfortable doing it without hearing some others thoughts.. im still amazed that superglue can even be in an aquarium... as sensitive as the tank is to some other things..

I have been watching it for about two weeks now... i cant tell if its peeling more or not now, so any advice welcome and thank you..

P.s.
I dont know if it makes any difference, but my tank does not have fish... i got a bit of ich on my first fish and went fallow for 4 months... ill hopefully be adding some cardinals soon as i finished piecing together my quarantine and TTM tanks yesterday.... some things u gotta learn the hard way..

So heres some pics from today... if u need more or better pics.. i can try... im using a phone tho.. note 4 but still tricky for me..

Any help is appreciated...

Looks fine from my house. And being free, I would let it be. You mentioned decent lighting- what fixture exactly?

Ok thanks... and the light was ramping up so it looks a little blue there... it also has two 39w t5ho bulbs.. actinic and blue plus.. its gettting about 250par when everything gets to the sets levels..

the nudis can sometimes be really really hard to see
if you see any small white feathery things around the edges you got nudis
you sometimes have to strain your eyes to see them when they are small

I can see little tiny round things. All over the tissue.. they look like little polyps to me tho.. is there any place in particular i should be looking... ive watched the bottom because thats where i heard the eggs would be..

I cant see the nudis, they might be there, i assumed they would have killed it by now.. lol

It had a rough start tho so just stn from bad environment wouldnt surprise me.

Ill check again when i get home..

You can see nudis because they take a tiny strip of tissue off, you have to look close. They have little tentacles on their backs to make them look exactly like a montipora polyp for this reason. I'd suspect them too, and I'd really try and deal with it now before stocking your tank

I should be able to see them with my naked eye?? I really dont see any strips of tissue gone/damaged.. the coral is only a few inches from the tank glass. I can see it pretty well.. i cant see anything moving if i stare for a few minutes either..

Im gonna do some googling and see if i can figure out a way to get a closer look... i really cant see anything tho... idk what to do..

Its been in there over a month... would it make it to my zoas by then??

Ok i might be a big dummy...

Is the flesh even supposed to cover the entire bottom of the shelf or does it follow the edge out as it grows??

The only place i thought i was experiencing stn was on the bottom... maybe im just experiencing normal growth? Im very new to coral so if this is a dumb question..... sorry lol

I may have worded that badly.. my growth edge is whitish ir light purple/pinkish... but he underside of the shelf is bare skeleton except for the front leading edge or so... the flesh under the shelf only goes back about an inch from the growth edge.... is that normal?? Hard to find clear pics of the bottom of a monti..
