mooncycle voltage?

using the x10 lamp module to dim lights would it lower the voltage? is this how the moon cycle works? if so can you tell me the minimum voltage to the bulb on the lowest light period?
thanks anyone I am trying to figure out which bulbs to use since some sill only work so low then no longer light.

I am using an aquacontroller 2 if that matters

The peak voltage doesn't change; it still peaks at about 180V AC. It is just the duty cycle that is varied. The RMS (basically means average) voltage is less and this results in a lower intensity during dimming. Only use an incandescent bulb w/ the lamp module. Using anything else may damage the lamp module or the device plugged into it.

180 v ac? is that normal for a 110v light bulb that seems very high. I am ordering a lamp module when the place gets back runing after vacation.

I don't recommend plugging dimmable leds into the lamp module. 180V is the peak voltage on 120V RMS AC power.

Curt,

Many of us are interested in the idea of led moonlights because:

1) they are in the frequency of actual moonlight and
2) they look a lot better than the incandesent lights you can get.

Do you have any recommendations?

Are there any products out there?

Why not plug in the dimmable leds (I myself was thinkinga bout this)...

I think IceCap is working on a product that achieves this as well.
