moonlight went out

So after about a year I didn't use the moonlight because of my reflector. I just couldn't mount it in a good place so I left it off. Recently I got new reflectors and was able to use it. It worked fine until yesterday. Because of the cooler temp I turned the fan in my hood off. When the lights went out the moonlight didn't come on. The night mode is working but the moonlight is not. I pressed the button a few times but nothing happened. After reading some other posts about this I figure I may have to send it in although I am confident I could fix this myself. If you insist that I send it in I am wondering, will the pumps just run full blast without the controller? Or will they even run at all? I don't like the thought of going without them for any length of time. please let me know what I should do.

Thanks,

Adam

The pumps work without the controller, you can individually set the speed of each pump by adjusting the speed on the driver with a small slotted screw driver, there is a hole on the left side of each driver for this. They should be turned back up when the controller is connected. Does the moonlight LED on the controller come on? It has to be on for the moonlight to work. The moonlight will then come on when the photocell is in darkness.

yes the led on the controller lights up just not the moonlight itself. The photocell is working fine. Would added heat from having my fans off yesterday cause this. Or is it just a coincidence that it went out the day I turned my fan off?

Not sure, but it can be replaced. If you want it replaced just send it in, such a repair has a 24-48 hr turnaround:
