Do you have to feed them?

My lights go out at 7:30 EST and i have to go to bed around 8 since i get up at 3 am for work. So the feeding tenticles arent out when i go to sleep.. They are out when i wake up though but i dont really have time to be feeding corals in the morning ya know im up and out the door.

Do the feeding tenticles sting?

I recently got the coral and they seem to be getting longer and longer every day and they are starting to get close to my Green Hairy Finger Leather.

I would reccomend feeding them when you can as it will only help with there growth rate. They will sting other corals if they are near by. I would move the candy cane or the leather to be safe.

mine feed when i feed the rest of the tank, even though the lights are on. A few minutes after i first add the food, the feeding tentacles come out for a few hours. Then they'll contract, then extend again after the lights go out.

Iv only had the trumpet a week, and only 3 days since i removed a Angel that picking at it and several other corals... it just started polyping up nice during the day maybe once it gets fully adjusted it will let its sweepers out when i feed the tank also.

ive had mine for 5 months now. it only had 3 "heads" when i got it. It now has 5. Within the next week or so it should be up to 7, as 2 are getting ready to split again.

here's mine at feeding time tonight:

I have never seen the tentacles out for my Candy Cane. Is this a bad thing or does this mean it is getting enough from the water column. I have seen growth with it already, but never seen the tentacles. Any help?
