More ich help

My angel fish still has a few spots on it after a couple treatments in a hospital tank. It seems to be doing good swimming around amd still has energy. But I don't see it eating like it was. One eye is foogy and there is what kinda looks like a white ich spot on its tail but looks more fuzzy. Should I continue treatment and are the foogy eye and fuzzy spot from ich or something totally different.

What method are you using to treat the ich?

Are you sure it's ich? Lymphocystis instead?

Foogy( foggy?) eye could be bacterial.

Not sure the brand I'm not on meds. But it's a new bottle I think something like api. And heat to 84. I'm new to saltwater but have had freshwater ever since I was little have seen ich alot.

Temperature does nothing for marine ich. You cannot treat it the same as freshwater, it is a completely different organism.

Also, foggy eye wouldn't be ich related.

I had seen this foggy eye thing with a clown I treated for Ick so I assume it's connected.
The Ick is not gone....continue treatment. I assume you use one of the three. Keep trying to feed, when you build strenght, you build an ability for the fish to help solve this issue.

I treated mine with both cupramine (at half strenght because of hypo water) and hypo at the same time but I do not reccomend this with tangs at all. If the Ick is disappearing, just keep up the fight, in the end, the foggy eye went completely back to normal and that fish is now 24 months past the treatment and is strong and healthy.

Thank you for this advice. I have looked every where on info to continue treating and could not find much at all. I will do so and keep everyone updated.

Something from API... Snake oil.

There are only 3 ways to cure a fish of ich.

TTM or Tank Transfer Method
Hyposalinity
and Copper

I suggest you read the stickies at the top about ich.

FW ich and Marine ich are 2 totally different organisms.

Ich is in the tank so the tank transfer method will only help to ensure the infestation doesn't get worse.

Those Ich cures are more snake oil then anything, though you may be one that has success so....

Copper based meds kill it in the free swimming stage (see below)

YOU DON'T WANT TO COPPER YOUR TANK UNLESS YOU ARE SURE SURE SURE SURE SURE YOU NEVER WANT AN INVERT IN THERE OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT COPPER KILLS!!!!

Anyway, most will say your tank has to be fallow for 72 days to get rid of the Ich, but thats only if your tank is 50 something degrees. I've dealt with Ich and good nutrition is probably the easiest route to work with it. Your fish will have an immune response to Ich that you want to bolster but if the infestation is bad you may have to move the fish to a rubber maid at least for a few weeks while you run your tank at elevated temps to speed the life cycle. Anyway read up on Ich and draw your own conclusions. I don't subscribe to the quarantine everything method though.

What Tripod is supporting and homer 1475 is stating.
This is all that will work, and simply an undisputed fact.
In general terms, you would likely see a significant change in the fish in 10 days of either hypo or cupramine.

Anything else is a complete waste of time.

Anything med that treats fresh and marine is garbage...

If it's API general cure, it looks like that stuff is metro and prazi. That should treat crypto.

...we have no way of knowing though, since the OP is doing such a horrible job answering our questions...

All the fish are in a hospital tank I have live rock and a shrimp in the dt. I will start with hyposalinty in the am once I do a bit more research on it. But seems like the way to go. The api meds are called super ick cure. All the angles spots are gone but 1 and the foggy eye remains after a dose of treatment I gave them yesterday morning. Other 2 clowns are eating good. Angel dont seem to be eating as much but still swims around and picks at the food here and there.

That is normal, keep in hypo water for at least 30 days beyond the last spot seen and must be swimming and eating as normal
