COMAS Rocks!
Spent a couple hours playing photo shoot with my jawfish again. Here he is building yet another burrow in my 75g. I knew these guys dug in the sand, but had no idea they were freaks about it. He's dug under enough rocks already that I'm very glad I stuck the major chunks of rock in the tank prior to adding my sandbed. But heres what you're waiting for...pics!!!

And just for the heck of it, heres a shot of my conch and his current feast :D Both photo's were taken in the sand location at same time, just one zoomed in on his face, the other shows where he's been hangin out at all week long. He's already cleared the other half of the tank pretty good.

Hope everyone enjoys! comments are always welcome.

The 3rd photo shows what a male holding a clutch of eggs would look like. Although that's just a mouth full of sand, jawfish are mouthbrooders much like the cardinalfish. Just FYI. I hope in the future after I obtain a partner for him, that i'll have little baby jawfish one day.

Let's just take it one step at a time Travis, lol, I've already had that thought and am looking into various mouthbrooders. Unfortunatly, not all are as cool as the jawfish and cardinalfish.

Peace, most the time he's got his head out of his burrow, he's staring at the couch to see if me or jess is too close. If we don't maintaine a 4ft distance, he just stays at home, lol. Funny, for a fish, he's got a very mobile "neck" and will actually look around corners at us, it's halarious to watch. That and he looks so much like a sardine from "spongebob".
