More newb skimmer questions

Alright, currently in process of putting together all my equipment and a buddy is selling a SSA CS180, CS2ish stats rated 185. I will be running a 20-30 sump, I am going to go for a heavy bio load once everything is said and done but back to the skimmer, I know this skimmer has the higher ratings and such but I am looking for a skimmer that I can use now and grow into a larger tank. Is it feasible to use this skimmer in this size tank? Just a really good deal and would love to take advantage of it.

I have a 180 w/40 gal. sump, and bought this (same skimmer) a few month's ago. I'm running bio-pellets, and have a reasonably high load. I'm very happy with it.

Ya man my brother has a cs2 in his 120, and loves it. Have really never heard bad things about SSA, so I pulled the trigger and bought it this morning.

Your going to struggle to keep a foam head in that skimmer if it has the sicce psk1000 in there. Especially with a 8"diameter iirc. Something with the psk 600 in a 6"skimmer would be a lot better.

Same concern my brother had however he wants to see if since it likes the deep water how well it will go, crossing my fingers!
