that one i got from ebay recently - approx. 3.75" lysiosquillina maculata, seller named eaglejoe. hes had a number of them recently, guess they are good sellers.

no its a spearer - which is why i fed it that way :eek2: im too chicken to try that with a smasher. Requires a deep sand - app. 1.5x deeper than the shrimp is long, I have a video im working on that shows its tunnel a little. max size is over a foot!!

Cool deal...I may be too chicken to try to handfeed a mantis, be it smasher or spearer, lol. That guys has a couple sweet mantises on ebay right now. How big of a tank is he in?

half of a 7g for now, going to give him ten to himself soon though - just need a plan of attck.


this is the 29 reef (top), 20g sump with asm mini-g (bottom), 7g split l. maculata left and n. wennerae right (middle) - middle also has cheato and a couple other macros.

Pardon the mess, been doing some work on the mantis section. but this is the full room with both tanks.

but this is what i usually see when i'm trying to sit!!
