Morengo Pet Store

I just thought I would let everybody know that my husband and I decided to take a drive to Morengo to check out Corbin's Exotic Pets yesterday. His stock was much more impressive than anything I have seen in the Rockford area, so far. While my husband and I are still getting our feet wet with this whole experience, we thought that his prices were decent (considering the cost at some of the other stores here) and the owner was a pleasure to talk to and work with. He is willing to talk tanks, reef systems, etc. for hours. He also made sure to let us know that he will order ANYTHING in that a person might want. We both felt that this was worth the drive from Rockford to Morengo.

I had mentioned that I recently joined this forum. He was quite interested. He was wanting to touch base with somebody here about getting involved with the forum. I, of course, am still new to the forum, so I had no clue who to direct him to.

I went there on Thursday. I was impressed by the potential of the facility but the quality of coral was poor and the dry good prices were high. My suggestion for them would be to get the dead coral and fish out of the tanks and not to charge $70 for a bucket of salt that you can get from the Drs. for $34. I did love the tortuses and other exotic anilmals. I hope they live up to their potential, we can always use another good store shop for aquaria.
