Mother nature can be so harsh

Like some reefer's, I lost my power on Wendsday. I had a generator which I fired up shortly after. It was old not running right, I tried to fix it and then it threw the piston rod. ( Later I found out it was the bearings within the generator going out which was why it was running way to fast, so It would had went no matter what)

I received power the following Tuesday night. Beings my son and wife come before anything we had left and went to Shilo ILL. for the power out. Between IMLON2 & Rich1972 and my wife we kept a power converter charge to run a power head in both my tank & RICH1972's tank. Needless to say both Rich1972 & myself lost everything . I think my lesson learned hear was NOT to relie on very old equipment like my old 1984 Homelite 4,400 watt Generator. It hurts to helplessly stand by and know that all of your Fish, Coral and Invert's are dying and their's really nothing you are able do. However I will hold my head up high pushing through and rebuild again. So I posted today to let other's know, Your not alone. Don't give up.

I'm sorry for any of you who lost everything that they worked so hard for, as I know some of you did.

I am very sorry to hear about your losses. This power outage was just phenomenal and created hardships on a society dependent upon electricity. It was especially hard on elderly people and people living with illness.

It is really sad when pets that depend on us for their survival can not be kept alive dt circumstances beyond our control.

I'm very sorry for your loss...However, I am happy to see your high spirits...I was told once that "no day is a bad day till you miss one"

So, overall there is a lot to look forward to. You had a choice and you have chose to push on through and do what you love...Whenever you get back up, let me know and anything I have, you are welcome to!

It really is great to see your high spirits :D
