mounting frags?

what do you guys use to mount your frags? i know super glue gel for mounting them to rubble rock. but what do you use for mounting the rubble rock to the live rock in the tank? is it some sort or epoxy? and im looking for something i can pick up at lowes or home depot. ive tried using the super glue gel to mount the rubble rock onto the live rock but they alklways get knocked over by turbo snails and hermit crabs.

i use an epoxy i got at reefworks it works great and is safe for your reef

Epoxy found at most LFS is great for that. It's a 2 part that you mush together in your hands and mold around the way you want and it'll harden in the water within about 30 mins.

I like the 2 part epoxy for putting attaching corals to rocks you are not removing for the tank.

But my favorite for regular frags is super glue. The trick is the brand. My personal favorite so far is the Loctite cyano acrylate gel. It is very thick and has a very small tip for dispensing it. The thinner stuff tends to run like water and end up on the surface of your tank when you try to dip your frag in saltwater.

I would like to add that the epoxy smells like buttt...I used it for the first time this past weekend...ugh barf!

Yes it does! And even if you use a tiny bit, your whole place'll smell like nasty epoxy for several hours.... yuck

And if you use the pink (corraline algae color) it will stain anything you touch for hours, no it doesn't like to wash off of your hands...

Yep, I have the deltec expoxy I bought over at aquaria studio......it stains. I second using the loctite brand. Its a little more expensive but well worth it. I get the easy squeeze one with the applicator that you squeeze on the sides.

I got my super glue Gel for cheap at home depot...$6 for a 12pack...

i use Aquamend epoxy from home depot. works like a charm, super glue, epoxy, superglue, holds tight as can be

I use Aquamend and super glue from the dollar store.
