mounting tab on magnet broke off

Roger one of the little mounting tabs broke off of my stream magnet. Is this something covered under warranty? It must have happened due to the jerking every time it turns on and off.

I don't think it could have broken from the pump starting up. If you send it in with a receipt I will see what i can do but I don't have any to replace it with at this time. It will be difficult to verify that this wasn't because it was dropped. I suspect it was probably cracked when you got it if it wasn't ever dropped.

With the tab being recessed it would be pretty hard to drop it. It has not been out of the tank for 4 months and I come home and find the pump just dangling believe me or not? How about I send you the reciept and a picture I cannot go with out the magnet. Is the Tab replaceable or does the whole magnet need replaced

I am not exactly clear on what part you are talking about. A photo might be a good start. You need to understand in warranties I am a middle man who submits reports and tries to get warranty coverage, this is going to be a hard sell to the company, that is all I am trying to say, but until I see it, it is only speculation. I couldn't actually replace it until I got the other one back but I could start doing the leg work with a photo and see what the people at HQ think.
