Mounting Wavebox on AGA Tanks

I am sure this has been asked, but the search function is not working... so sorry... Is this humanly possible to mount the wavebox on an AGA tank with the standard hardware or do I need to buy the magnent holders? If I do need to now buy the magnent holders just to secure this thing, which one do I need? Based on the manual suggesting I will need two, which model magnent holder?

The magnets are easier.
The standard hardware won't do it alone.
If you have an older stream you will also need to purchase get part 3000.244 to mount them correctly.
I believe the newer streams come with that supplied.

Ok, so is it just easier with the magnets, but possible some other way? Are there some do it yourself ideas out there if the supplied hardware is worthless?

Provided you don't have a canopy if you use the longer metal screws it is possible to install it on an AGA tank. In my photo gallery I have some pictuures of a 7400/2 installed on an Oceanic that might help give you a better idea of how they go together.

I was toying around with it last night and that is basically the only way I could see it working. Is that going to be stable enough to hold the wavebox (obviously attaching both rails that way)? It also makes the wavebox stick off the glass an extra inch or so...

Their should be a single suction cup on a barb in the center of the lower portion of the wavebox that will act as a spacer. If you clamp the screws down correctly- bottom one to snug top one makes it bite in, just a 1/2 turn or so past snug- it will work.

Ok, so I setup my brackets like:

But the suction cup is like a half inch off the glass like I said:

I don't have the pump in the housing right now, so the weight of that may help straighten it out, but did I do the brackets right? Is this going to hold?

The brackets look right but you might loosen the bottom screw maybe one turn and tighten the top another turn, maybe two. This should eliminate the angle upward and bring the bottom down to level. I have a lot of experience with Oceanic but none with All Glass so I cannot speak from experience but the trims are pretty close and it should work, especially once the pump is inside. Their is alot of force on the box as it empties it wants to float so the attachment has to be secure.

Should I just remove the suction cup?

No, you want the suction cup to make contact and add some support.

Ok, I will give it a try, but it looks like the suction cup is way too far off the glass. I should have the tank ready to go by the end of the weekend and I can give it a try. Thanks.
